Ginormas Resting Reindeer Pattern

Complete your ginormas Reindeer herd with this peaceful ginormas Resting Reindeer for your yard this winter. You can easily make it from the complete instructions on our full-size pattern.

Over 10 feet tall!! This project is gargantuan but not difficult to make. Just trace the huge full-size pattern pieces onto 5 sheets of 3/4" thick plywood, then cut out using a hand held jigsaw. After painting, most pieces just slide together (then come apart for convenient flat storage). A simple guy wire with anchor stakes is required and fully detailed on our pattern.

Five 4' x 8' sheets of 3/4"" thick exterior grade plywood, preferably 5-ply for better stability.

Hardware:
Carriage Bolts - Five 3/8" dia. x 2" long
Nuts - Five 3/8"
Washers - Five 3/8" I.D., flat

Guy Wire - Two lengths of 16 gauge x 10 ft. long
Guy Wire Stakes - Two steel or plastic, heavy duty, 18" long

Tools:
Hand held jig saw (sabre saw) with a smooth cutting non-chipping scrolling blade
Screwdriver
Drill and a 3/8" and 1/4" dia. drill bits

Supplies:
Pattern transfer paper (#CARB2), pencil & clear tape
Sand paper-medium & fine grits
Wood Glue-exterior (#GLUETB3)
Wood filler-non shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws (#WF8)
Paint brush and roller

Paint:
Primer - White water based (#PRIMQT)
Exterior Latex Enamel: White.

Sealer:
(Optional if using Exterior Latex Enamel Paint.)
High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss UV protected project sealer (#POLYQT) for outdoor protection.
