Put 2x rockers and 1" dowels at each end. This is after the 3/4" rails broke. There has not been a problem with the rocking horse since this was done.

Nice print; used cherry, oak and walnut w/hemp for the hair.
The rocker broke at the notch, so I don't cut notches now and it works great. Gkids love them.
