I purchased this item last year (Sept 2012) including the hardware and motor, about $80.00 worth. Had some issues with pivot holes lining up. Once built, with the 12VDC power it ran too fast, very jerky at ends of travel. I used 6VDC power and it runs very well. It's an eye-catcher and I received many compliments. The instructions are easy to follow. A beginner might have s problem. It was worth the investment. After the first season, I made some modifications for ease of storage and reassembly next season.
