Log cabin birdhouse and feeder.
DIMENSION:
Birdhouse 11-1/4" tall x 11-3/8" deep x 12" wide
Bird feeder 12" tall x 14" deep x 14" wide
WOOD:
3/4" thick Pine boards
OR - 7/8" thick rough sawn Cedar boards
1/4" thick plywood, good one or two sides
Dowel One 5/16" dia. x 2-1/2" long
HARDWARE:
Finish Nails Forty five 3/4" long
Two hundred sixty 1-1/2" long finish nail
TOOLS:
Scroll saw or hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping, scrolling blade
Table Saw or Circular Saw
Band saw or scroll saw with smooth cutting non-chipping blade
Drill and 1/4", 5/16" and 1-1/4" dia. drill bits
SUPPLIES:
Transfer Paper (#CARB)
Pencil and clear tape
Sand paper medium and fine grits
Wood filler non-shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws
Paint brush 3/4" and 1/4 wide
Wood glue exterior
PAINT:
White water based primer for a base coat (#PRIMQT) and the following suggested colors of acrylic paint::
2049-Spice Brown
2055-Autumn
2602-Kim Gold
SEALER:
High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss UV protected project sealer for outdoor protection (#POLYQT)
