Eagle Sentry Wood Plan

DESCRIPTION:
Standing like a guard, this mighty eagle watches over your house and family.

DIMENSION:
20" tall x 36" long x 7-1/2" wide

WOOD:
Two 2X12 x 96" long boards, #2 grade pine or better
4X4 post, length determined where you want to display him.

HARDWARE:
Screws – Four #6 x 2" long, flat head
Nails – finish and 8 penny (8d)

TOOLS:
Scroll saw, jig saw or band saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping, scrolling blade
Table Saw or Circular Saw
Screwdriver
Drill and 3/32", 9/64", 5/32" and 3/16" dia. drill bit
1" and 3" diameter drum sanders

SUPPLIES:
Transfer Paper (#CARB)
Pencil and clear tape
Sand paper – medium and fine grits
Wood filler – non-shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws
Paint brush – 3/4" and 1/4 wide
Paint Pen – Medium, Black (#PPENM)

PAINT:
White water based primer (#PRIMQT) for a base coat and the following suggested colors of acrylic paint:
2504-Yellow
2505-White
2506-Black

STAIN:
Dark Oak or color of your choice (used on body)

SEALER:
High-grade, non-yellowing, semi-gloss UV protected project sealer for outdoor protection (#POLYQT).

OTHER SUPPLIES:
Plastic Eyes – Two 18mm Yellow (#PE104).
