  • I made 8 of these at once, it was a blast. I turned the cylinder out of maple and drilled it. Made a ramp jig to route the flutes. The cylinders are full round and spin on a 1/4 metal rod.

  • Made 15 of them. Instead of drilling a 1-1/4 hole, cut a 3/4 inch slot in the base, square off the dowel, saves a lot of trouble.

  • This is a fun project to build and the end product is highly admired by all. The only thing that is a bit hard to cut are the cylinders due to the odd cuts. The only thing that will make the cylinders a bit easier to cut is the use of a dremel tool. Other than that I have made a total of 12 pistols and have a standing order for them. Great project to build. Overall total time to finish one is normally about 36 hours. It takes this long due to time allowed to let the stain and paint to dry between coats. Overall I give this project a 10 out of 10 on the end project.
