Not squirrel proof

This feeder is not squirrel proof. The first day I put it up a squirrel was hanging off the front of the roof upside down eating the food. This spring I modified it and extended the roof out and made it so it would pivot down with the original platform. That worked great for about a month and now they have chewed through the piece of wood that covers the slot when it tips down.
