This is not an overnight project. Take your time, use suggested paint colors and you will be rewarded with a very attractive mechanical action whirligig. I also purchased the hardware kit and exterior plywood. Full scale plans/instructions were well written and detailed. The mechanical action is solid and fun to watch. Pay close attention to specifications when drilling centers,angles and depths for best fit and action. I used epoxy on unpainted areas to be glued. Project was a retiree gift.
