Description:
Make a spring wreath in 2 sizes decorating with your choice of 22 different designs.
Dimensions:
Large Wreath – 18" dia.
Small Wreath – 16" dia.
Designs to place on wreath are approx. 4"-5" dia.
Designs include: Chick, Rose, Heart, Cross, Duck, Cupid with Bow, Egg, Pot-O-Gold, Dove, Egg #2, Leprechaun, Top Hat, Birdhouse, Lamb, Bunny, Daffodil, Shamrock, Rabbit, Lily, Bluebird, Tulip and Cupid with Heart.
Wood:
1/2" or 3/4" thick exterior grade plywood
Note: If gluing the designs onto the wreath, use thin wood such as 5/32" thick plywood (#FPLY) for the design cut-outs
Note 2: If making the wreath without the wreath base, gluing the designs together by overlapping every other design, use 1/2" or 3/4" thick pine or plywood.
Tools:
Scroll Saw or Band Saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping blade
Hardware:
Stakes – Two 3/16" dia. x 18" long fiberglass rods (#YS11)
Clamps – Four 3/16" dia. (#YSC1 - one package)
Supplies:
Transfer paper (#CARB)
Pencil and clear tape
Sand paper – Medium and fine grits
Wood Filler – Non-shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws (#WF8)
Paint brushes – 3/4" and 1/4" wide brushes and a fine tipped detail brush
Wood Glue – try our high performance industrial strength adhesive E6000 (#GLUE3).
Paint:
White water based primer for a base coat (#PRIMQT) and the following suggested colors of acrylic paint:
